Tayo is my personal portfolio website, built to embody who I am as a software engineer through thoughtful design and purposeful functionality. It serves as a central space for my work, ideas, and professional journey. It is a place where potential clients and collaborators can explore the projects I have created and the values that shape how I build. My goal was simple: to create something clean, functional, and authentic, a portfolio that blends aesthetics with performance while staying true to my professional personality.
The creation of Tayo was a collaborative process that combined thoughtful design with precise engineering. Working closely with a designer friend, I brought a beautifully crafted UI/UX concept to life, turning static mockups into a fully responsive and engaging web experience. We went back and forth through iterations, refining every section until it felt right. The result is a platform that is clean, professional, and personal, a digital playground that showcases my work while reflecting my design sensibility and attention to detail. You can explore the original UI/UX design by clicking the “Live site” button above.
The frontend was developed with Next.js and Material UI, forming the backbone of a sleek and responsive interface that adapts seamlessly across devices. Subtle animations powered by Framer motion breathe life into the design without distracting from the content, creating an experience that feels both smooth and engaging. Every part of the interface, from navigation to project highlights, was crafted to align with the design vision while keeping accessibility and performance at the forefront.
On the backend, Sanity CMS powers the content management system, offering a flexible and structured way to store and organize data. With GROQ queries, the frontend dynamically fetches projects, images, and text, allowing instant updates without additional code changes. This setup ensures that my portfolio always stays current and easy to manage, with new work and updates reflected in real time.
What makes Tayo truly stand out is how effortlessly everything works together. Each project tells a story through rich visuals and clear structure, making it easy for visitors to explore. The design maintains its beauty and functionality across any device, while the content system keeps everything fresh and relevant. I owe special thanks to my designer, Emmanuel, whose creative vision and attention to detail helped shape the site into what it is today.
